Parliament Committee

The Parliament Committee supports the overall development, organisation, and effective functioning of the Parliament of the Turks and Caicos Islands. It provides a forum for considering matters that affect the institution of Parliament, including parliamentary services, facilities, internal arrangements, public access, and the resources required for Members to carry out their duties.

The work of the Committee helps to strengthen Parliament as an independent and effective branch of government. It may consider improvements to the way parliamentary business is supported, how Members are assisted in their legislative and representative roles, and how the public can better understand and engage with the work of Parliament.

The Committee may also examine matters relating to the administration of parliamentary operations, including the use of parliamentary spaces, support for sittings and committee meetings, records management, technology, public information, and civic education.

Through its work, the Parliament Committee contributes to the efficient management of parliamentary affairs and helps ensure that Parliament continues to operate with dignity, transparency, and accountability.
