A Life of Faith, Family, Service, and Community Building
Hon. Otis “Chuck” Morris was born on March 18, 1972, in the Turks and Caicos Islands to Lucille Elizabeth Penn and the late Henry Washington Morris. He is the second child born to his parents and was raised in a loving Christian home where faith, hard work, integrity, and service to others were foundational values.
His educational journey began at Christian Academy School before attending Ona Glinton Primary School (formerly North Primary School), where he remained until 1984. He then attended Helena Jones Robinson High School from 1984 to 1989, where he completed his secondary education.
From a young age, Otis demonstrated an exceptional work ethic. At approximately ten years old, he began earning money by performing chores and helping neighbors throughout his community. Upon graduating from high school, he entered the workforce full-time. His first employment was with Storm Construction, where he quickly developed skills in operating heavy equipment and gained valuable experience in the construction industry. Seeking to expand his technical knowledge, he pursued studies in diesel mechanics through correspondence courses, further strengthening his expertise in machinery and engineering-related fields.
In 1997, driven by determination and an entrepreneurial spirit, he established Otis Construction Company, a business that would grow and become known as Orian Construction Company. Through years of hard work and dedication, the company contributed to numerous projects and provided employment opportunities within the community. Upon entering elected office, Hon. Morris divested himself of the company and entrusted its leadership to his sons, who now fully own and operate the business, continuing the family legacy.
A devoted family man, Hon. Morris is the proud father of 21 children 12 sons and 9 daughters and the grandfather of four granddaughters. His family remains one of his greatest blessings and sources of inspiration.
Beyond his professional and political pursuits, he has a deep passion for aviation, technology, and telecommunications. An avid reader and lifelong learner, he enjoys exploring new ideas, innovations, and opportunities that can help improve society. He is also widely recognized as a committed community activist who has consistently sought to uplift those in need and create opportunities for others to succeed
Raised in the New Testament Church of God, Hon. Morris developed a strong Christian faith that continues to guide every aspect of his life. His commitment to serving God and people has been evident through his involvement in church, community development, mentoring, and public service. He is known for having a compassionate heart and a genuine desire to help those who are less fortunate achieve a better quality of life.
